Playboy Makes Non-Nude Web Series | ‘Playboy Interns’ Online Reality Show Isn’t Sexy

I guess not enough young people are embracing Playboy these days. For the past 50 years, the brand brand has been associated with naked women, but for some reason the new ‘Playboy Interns’ web series is as PG rated as can be. By comparison, shows like Model Ball would be considered trashy.

Obviously, this almost “squeaky-clean” conversion is downright hypocritical. Which is why I predict the show won’t be returning after this season.

Cast

While a shows like ‘The Girls Next Door’ are great for expanding the Playboy Enterprise, ‘Playboy Interns’ is falling flat on it’s face to make a dent. The viewership (currently at just 379 subscribers) is steadily declining after each episode. Really, the only thing that separates the show from all other mediocre reality rip-offs is the name “Playboy.”

Much like The Apprentice, the three interns (Ashley, Jon, and Charlie) are given tasks each episode to complete- such as going to the streets to find the next beautiful girl for digital Playboy fame. However, unlike The Apprentice the head of the company is nowhere to be seen. Hell, does Hugh Hefner even know about MySpace?

‘Playboy Interns’ Trailer

If you judge the series merely by this trailer, you’d expect much more from the show than it really puts out (pun intended). But don’t take my word for it, watch the episodes on MySpaceTV and see for yourself.
