Sony has decided there’s money to be made from nostalgia. So, following in the footsteps of Nintendo and Sega, it’s launching a miniature version of a classic console.
The console in question is the original PlayStation, now rebranded as the PlayStation Classic. Which, given that it’s almost 25 years old, is a fitting moniker.
The PlayStation Classic is a mini version of the PS1, and comes with 20 games pre-installed. Titles include Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms.
The PlayStation Classic is set to be released on December 3, 2018, and retail for $99 in the United States.
