After all the hoopla about President Obama’s birth certificate, brought back up recently by Donald Trump, and the fact Trump wants to run against Obama in 2012, it’s sweet justice to see Obama roasting Trump at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Obama (or more accurately his speech writers) truly go to town on Trump, ripping him to shreds on many different levels.
There are references to Trump’s (distinct lack of) credentials to be President of the U.S.A., his deluded belief that Obama was born in Africa rather than Hawaii, and the grotesque nature of his buildings.
Trump doesn’t look happy throughout much of the speech, but does at least smile and acknowledge the President at one point. I’m glad he still has a sense of humor, because he doesn’t have a hope in hell of becoming President. Thankfully.
