Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has undergone heart surgery just before Christmas. He is expected to make a full recovery and could even be spending Christmas at home with the Queen.
But we don’t really care about all that. This is a man who has lived a long, fruitful life being waited on hand and foot. And for no reason other than breeding and marriage.

I guess we should remember that Prince Philip was thrown into this role without a choice. He married the Queen, and was then expected to be a great orator and know how to talk to people. But he clearly fails at both.
