Rick Steves, co-author of over twenty books and advocate for marijuana law reform in the United States, sits down for a short interview on his thoughts about the US laws and use of marijuana.
I quite like this interview; it asks all the right questions that help Rick Steves cut through the prejudices and judgments (like pro-marijuana people automatically being pro-drug people) so he can defend himself and the people like him.
I’m going to go right ‘out there’ and say that I, too, am pro-marijuana. Sure, people have done bad things smoking dope, but that’s because they combined it with alcohol or other drugs.
Governments shouldn’t legislate on issues of morality, because that’s all this really comes down to.
