Racist Jell-O Advert Video From 1960s | Featuring Stereotyped Chinese People

Wow, there’s not much room for an argument here, this advert from the 1960s is pretty blatantly racist, and completely shows the level of ignorance around at the time.

A lot is said about how political correctness is doing damage to the world, but I’d argue that it’s usually the moral choice, and allowing adverts like this to air is much more damaging to society.

There’s definitely a generation divide here, with people over the age of maybe fifty arguing that this sort of thing was acceptable.

Youngsters, on the other hand, realise just how morally wrong this sort of thing is, and so most of them would respect people from other countries much more.

I’m so glad I live in a more civilised time, when we realise it’s not right or proper to stereotype people due to the race, and mock their language.

And a time of course when America could be about to elect it’s first black president!
