Hits from the 1980s seem especially open to being mocked and spoofed. Look at the literal translation of Total Eclipse Of The Heart, or how about the whole RickRolling phenomenon that swept the Internet last year.
Now imagine that the 1980s had happened almost a century earlier, and all those pop hits of the day had been played in the Ragtime Piano style. This guy not only imagined it but tried to bring it to life as well.
What we end up with is a medley of 1980s pop tunes played in the Ragtime Piano style, and it’s brilliant both to watch and to hear. This guy is very talented, playing piano much quicker than I ever thought was possible.
