Real-Life Tron Light Cycle Video | Be Like Flynn, If You Have A Spare $55k & No Brains

Who hasn’t wanted to ride a light cycle like the ones featured in the original Tron movie? Well, now you can. If you have a spare $55,000 and no brains to speak of.

For those who have been living under a rock for the past few decades, in both Tron and the new Tron: Legacy movies, there are light cycles; basically very cool virtual motorbikes with huge wheels.

In honor of the new film, out later this month, a custom motorcycle shop in the U.S. has built 10 replicas of the light cycle, although as they’re digitized rather than real in the films, I’m not sure replicas is the correct word.

I can’t fault the look of the thing, but practically it’s impossible to drive, as seen by the test drives in the video. If you have enough cash to buy something that you can only drive in car parks then good for you, but the rest of us have better things to do with our money.
