Kevin Smith is showing us a very different side with his creepy new horror flick Red State. This clip gives us our first look at the thriller.
This video doesn’t give much away, except that Red State is a very different film to Clerks, Mallrats, and Smith’s other cult classics.
Michael Parks stars as a fundamentalist preacher who sets about teaching some teenage misfits a lesson they’ll never forget.
After a few less than satisfactory films, it’s exciting to see Smith stretching himself. This trailer may not reveal much, but it does enough to intrigue.
Red State will premier at the Sundance Film Festival, where the highest bidder will secure its distribution. Hopefully they’ll bring it to our cinemas soon!
