Republican Senator Jeff Flake put the cat firmly amongst the pigeons yesterday with a speech condemning President Donald Trump and issuing a challenge to the GOP.
Flake announced that he will not be seeking re-election in Arizona as he doesn’t want to be complicit in Trump’s ruinous running of the country.
This video shows a trio of other Republicans reacting to Flake’s historic speech, which could prompt an exodus of high-profile Republicans unwilling to support Trump.
The question is whether enough of them feel aggrieved by Trump’s right-wing, nationalistic, and isolationist policies to act. Otherwise Trump will simply ride out the storm.
