I’ve been following Immortal Technique for quite a few years now. His music has gotten stale in my opinion, but his drive to be a revolutionary activist is still strong.
This documentary (which came out just a few days ago) chronicles his life and also his recent journey to Afghanistan.
With support and interviews from people like, Woody Harrelson, Chuck D., Ice-T, and Cornel West, this seems like it would be a good watch.
Much like his independent albums (which have sold more than 100,000 without radio play), Immortal Tech decided to release this on his own through Viper Records. My only complaint is that is isn’t available for download, only snail mail.
