Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House of Representatives, second in line to the Presidency, and the most powerful woman in U.S. political history. Quite an achievement I’m sure we all agree. Why then do the Republicans hate her so much? Oh wait, those reasons are exactly why they do.
This video was released by the Republican National Committee this week in order to embarrass the 69-year-old Pelosi. It backfired. It has instead made the GOP (Grand Old Party) look sexist and just a little bit ludicrous.
It shows Nancy Pelosi as a kind of ‘Pussy Galore’ character, a Bond villain who is the evil presence lurking in the shadows. The reason for these preposterous parallels? Because Pelosi claims the CIA lied about the use of waterboarding as a torture technique.
As with every political advert or video, one side will love it while the other generally hates it and cries foul. However, this video seems to be getting stick from all sides. Another own goal scored for the waning Republican party.
