At least something half-way decent will be on the cable airwaves this summer with the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance heating back up. Can I just say yay?!
Ok, now that I got that out of the way, the tryouts are just getting underway, and the last audition from the LA try outs brought us Robert Muraine, possibly the best and most insane “popper” to ever be televised.
Not only is his style of popping totally unique, creative and awesome, but it has the effects of making you smile while you watch it, whether you notice it or not. Or maybe you are more like Mia Micheals and your jaw lays quietly on the table in total awe.
They sent him right to Vegas and I’ll be curious to see how he does in other styles. He is undoubtedly awesome in what he does, but this show requires stage presence and dancing versatility. Either way, he was a standout from this first week of auditions.
