Don’t get me wrong, I watched Obama’s entire inauguration speech and found it truly inspiring and honest- though not as honest as this speech Ron Paul gave to the House last week.
In it, he asks a number hard-hitting questions all beginning with the words “what if?…”
This has to be the best speech Ron Paul has ever given; certainly the best one I’ve seen by a white male anti-abortion supporting republican. It’s too bad the man had to give such a fired up speech after the election or we might have been saying “What If?” rather than “Yes We Can” right now.
Whether any of these questions will be answered by the Obama administration has yet to be confirmed. I’m just grateful there’s finally a politician who has enough guts to call our threat of terrorism a “predictable consequence of our meddling in the affairs of others.”
The only disappointing part of this clip is the lack of a standing ovation at the end.
