San Diego Big Bay Boom Video | Crowd Reacts To All Fireworks Going Off At Same Time

29 sec read

Well that was disappointing. But then I guess the Big Bay Boom name turned out to be rather fitting.

This was the aftermath of the Big Bay Boom fireworks display in San Diego on the fourth of July. It’s held every year to commemorate Independence Day, but this time around something went spectacularly wrong.

The fireworks all ignited at once, meaning the planned 17-minute-long display was over in just 30 seconds. To describe the crowd as disappointed would be an understatement, but at least they all remained peaceful in the face of such a muff-up.

I did also want to mention that this video, like so many others, reminds me how lame U.S. news stations are. It’s like watching Anchorman for real, as though we have traveled back to the 1980s. I’ll stick with the BBC from now on, thanks.
