I love video games, so anyone who thinks they’re evil and bad for society can get knotted, quite frankly. However, obsession of any kind, especially amongst young children, is bad news.
This gloriously animated short tells the story of a mother’s increasing concerns over her young son’s addiction to gaming. It’s a nice day outside, there are other kids, an ice cream man, and yet he’s stuck inside glued to the television.
She attempts to wean him off the games and tempt him outside, eventually destroying every console and controller she finds. Bar one. So she eventually sees him outside he’s trying to make a ball move with an old Atari joystick.
Without restrictions kids will do what they want, which could be playing games all day. And that’s really not healthy.
