Every now and again, the newspapers report that a large asteroid is sailing perilously close to Earth. These massive rocks are hundreds of thousands of kilometers away, but that’s close enough.
One day, a large asteroid is going to smash into Earth, and there may be nothing we puny humans can do to stop it. Which is especially worrying after watching this video.
This video show a simulation of what fate would befall Earth if a very large asteroid hit us. And by very large I mean many miles across.
To put it bluntly, every living thing would die, and the planet we currently call home would be uninhabitable.
