Outlast 2 is a really scary video game. It’s a survival horror game which places you in a terrifying world and tells you to survive at all costs.
You either love or hate the horror genre. There really is no in-between. I personally like being scared, as long as I always keep in mind that what’s scaring me isn’t real.
Horror movies are therefore right up my street, but video games can cross the line, and make me feel like what’s happening to my character is actually happening to me.
With this in mind I think I’ll avoid playing Outlast 2. The reviews are in, and all of them suggest this is one of the scariest video games ever made. Yep, I’m definitely out.
