Jett Travolta, the son of Hollywood actor, John Travolta, has tragically died after reportedly having a seizure and banging his head on the side of the bath at the family’s vacation home.
What has this got to do with Scientology? Well, potentially quite a lot because the Travoltas are members of the church and their beliefs could have indirectly lead to the death of Jett.
It’s widely believed that Jett Travolta suffered from autism, although his parents maintain it was Kawasaki Syndrome instead. The problem is that The Church Of Scientology doesn’t recognize autism or any mental illness. Which could have lead to a wrong diagnosis.
This video isn’t related to Jett Travolta but it does tell the story of a woman who is unable to communicate with her family because she chose to leave the Church. If that’s not the very essence of a cult then I don’t know what is.
As for Travolta, it is merely speculation that Scientology had a hand in Jett’s death but when your belief system can possibly lead to one of your family not being treated in the right way, surely it’s time to reassess?
