Second Life, it’s a weird concept, at least to me, yet I know there are thousands of people addicted to the virtual world and spend hours on there every day.
I’ve never taken part, but I have seen enough people on there, and lots of videos explaining what it’s all about.
This video is a great spoof of what it’s like to be in the Second Life world, using real people.
The people standing in front of each other typing on invisible keyboards suspended in mid-air really show up the ludicrousness of the situation.
The problem is with the increase of social networking and internet interactivity, I can see Second Life being the future. Before long we’ll all spend more time in avatar driven virtual worlds more than the real world.
Time to reinvent myself!
