While the usual fight clubs involve actual fist fighting, these grown geeks have a different definition:
“Two men entering and no keyboards leaving.”
While I must admit this fight is both amusing and hilarious, I just can’t imagine this being a ritual for rebellious geeks. “IT guys by day and gladiators by night” isn’t a catchphrase I can take seriously. Especially when the rules require the winner to lose all their keyboard keys.
Judging by the fight, I’d estimate that their are two types of geeks who really participate in this type of club: those who need to deal with aggression and those that just want to have fun. The mix isn’t very safe. After all, real life doesn’t have a restart button.
That being said, I’d love to see one of these fights take place at some sort of geeky convention (in a controlled environment of course).
