Joe Weider has died at the ripe old age of 93. Weider is widely regarded as the father of bodybuilding, being responsible for creating an empire based on the pastime.
This video is a tribute to Weider, featuring pictures of him throughout his career. It also includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, who Weider discovered and brought to the U.S.
I can’t say I’m a particular fan of bodybuilding. I’m not sure we should be idolizing people who have pushed their bodies beyond their normal limits, especially when many don’t do it completely naturally.
