The BBC is showing a new period drama, and this one is a new take on the classic story of Lady Chatterley’s Lover by D.H. Lawrence
This story has been told on previous occasions, but this one looks like being a particularly classy affair, with the sex scenes toned down to just the right side of decent.
Lady Chatterley’s Lover stars Holliday Grainger as the titular Lady Chatterley and Richard Madden as Mellors, the gamekeeper who plays the eponymous lover.
As this trailer shows, Lady Chatterley’s Lover tells the love story between Lady Chatterley and her gamekeeper Mellors after her husband is paralyzed in the First World War.
