ShayCarl is one of those people who have managed to leverage the popularity of YouTube to go from being a nobody to a smalltime Internet celebrity. And why not, as his videos are both funny and endearing.
However, the new year brings changes for everyone, and ShayCarl is no exception. He decided to say goodbye to the beard he has nurtured for months, so it’s time to say, R.I.P. Beardtard.
You may be thinking this is just a video of some fat bearded guy doing ordinary, everyday things. And you’d be right. Except the fat guy is ShayCarl and his beard has/had a life of its own. Hence the title of Beardtard.
As someone who has switched between being clean-shaven and having a beard, I know how it is to shave a long-nurtured hairy friend off your face. It’s hard. But at the end of the day you know a new one will grow in a matter of weeks. That’s life.
