The other day I introduced you to a web series about pitching a script for a TV series. Now the creators at Silver Polish Productions have made their very own online show about pitching a movie script.
Contrary to what is claimed on their YouTube Channel, the show doesn’t really have “The hottest rising actors/writers in Los Angeles…possibly the world”, but it is quite funny.
Surprisingly, the series, which could have been easily dreamt up by alcoholics, is made by a group of college students. Currently, Tony Jarboe, Jack, Daniel and Andrew Teed are all majoring in business, journalism and mechanical engineering. But don’t let the college boy image fool you. Just the plots of their fictional movies are ridiculous.
One is a slasher flick/love story called “Love Hurts” centered in Chicago yet filmed in Hawaii. Another movie, titled “Hepatitis Sea”, is about bringing together 100 of the “biggest players” with 100 of the “easiest women” on one boat.
It’s so absurd it’s funny.
First Episode “The Pitch”
Here’s the first episode, or webisode, of the series. It involves the writers pitching their crazy movie ideas.
