Anyone who has a cat, or who has ever had one in the past, will recognize this scenario immediately. Unless they are the cleanest person in the world and even sweep behind fridges and cupboards on a weekly basis.
You’re playing with your cat, throwing treats or a ball around for him or her, when it disappears behind or under a piece of furniture. The cat goes rummaging, only to unearth a lot more than just the plaything.
My cat has uncovered items I’d lost so long ago I’d forgotten all about them. But then that might say more about me and my laziness than it does about my cat and his tenacity. Hidden Treasures indeed.
