‘Slutwalk’ New Delhi Video | Campaign Against Rape, Sexual Violence Reaches India

28 sec read

The Slutwalk campaign, which sees women protesting against rape, sexual violence, and assumptions over the signals being given out, has reached New Delhi, after already having hit the streets of Toronto, London, and Amsterdam.

The strange thing is many people have suggested the New Delhi Slutwalk was a little on the conservative side, with Indian women not dressing sluttily enough to get the point across in a strong way.

But surely each country is different, and what would be considered respectable wear in one could be considered inappropriate in another.

The point still remains, however, that men in all parts of the world need to be more respectful of women and not take any kind of dress sense as some sort of invitation to have sex. In which case I wholly support the Slutwalk campaign.
