It showed Kendall Jenner breaking the tension at a protest by handing a Pepsi to one of the cops. It’s a bit trite, but nothing more than that, right? Wrong.
People complained this commercial was tone-deaf, and piggybacking on the Black Lives Matter movement. And Pepsi took a load of abuse for even coming up with the idea.
