You expect to see a few things when you travel to New Zealand: foul-smelling mud pools, adrenalin junkies, and those cute brown kiwi birds. You don’t expect to see snow. Yet the white stuff fell in Wellington this week, and filmmaker Ro Tierney was there to shoot it.
This is a really gorgeous video documenting this freakish weather and the wonder of the people so unused to it. The soundtrack of Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” really caps off this magical clip.
These townspeople will probably never see snow again in their lifetime, but at least they’ve got a video like this to remember it by!
