Sony Walkman Project Orchestra Advert Video | Fantastic Use Of Music In An Advert

26 sec read

This is the brilliant new TV advert for the Sony Walkman Project video mp3 player. It uses music and specifically a full orchestra superbly to get its point across.

It’s not your traditional orchestra though, with brass sections and percussion, instead this one features normal people playing normal instruments, and some weird ones too.

My favourite parts of the advert are when the drummers go down the line, that is just awesome. And also the guitars playing in unison, as although I’m only qualified to play air guitar, it is my favourite instrument.

When adverts are done this well, there’s no need to skip or fast forward past them. That’s why advertising executives are paid so much filthy lucre to come up with inventive concepts.
