Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be an astronaut and fly out of earth’s atmosphere at speeds which we can not really even imagine?
While it’s impossible to truly know how that feels unless you’ve experienced it, and few of us ever will do, we can at least get an idea from this video.
It shows a shuttle launch sequence, from take off to the moment the rockets are ejected after they have done their job of propelling the vehicle in to space.
It’s amazing to just sit and watch the ground grow further away, and to see the continent start to miniaturise in front of your very eyes.
What this awe-inspiring video also manages to do is make me feel very small and insignificant. Just look at the size of the planet we live on!
