Special Delivery is a new hidden camera show on MySpace TV, which eschews all the usual fluff and cuts straight to the punchline in episodes lasting just 3 minutes.
The show is an original show from MySpace, following in the footsteps of Quarterlife and Roommates, although thanks to a deal with Frito-Lay/Cheetos, the show cost virtually nothing to make.
The advertising deal means that the product will be featured in at least one episode of the show, but for that, MySpace were able to make a show with virtually no risk.
The series has been produced by Avalon TV, and will consist of two 3 minute episodes a week for nine weeks.
Here is the first episode, featuring a Chinese food delivery man:
Special Delivery – Episode 1
Special Delivery IS just another hidden camera show, but is being marketed for its shortness, and getting to the gag sooner rather than later.
In this day and age, when an average web viewer’s attention span can be counted in seconds rather than minutes, it seems a sensible route to follow.
