The Northern lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, is in the news as it could be visible much further south than usual.
Thanks to a huge solar storm the Northern lights may be visible in parts of the U.S., possibly as far south as Virginia, as well as in parts of Europe not normally treated to this impressive display.
This video shows what the Aurora Borealis looks like in Norway, whose residents are treated to this every single year.
Seeing the Northern lights in person is on my bucket list, so I’m hoping they’re visible far enough south for me to see. But even if they are I’m sure it looks better in the Arctic Circle.
