Joost may be coming in for some criticism around the blogosphere at the moment, but it’s just made nerds across the USA jump for joy, as episodes of Star Trek have become available for the first time.
Joost is an online video and television service which requires users to download a player.
The channels on offer, and programmes they show, are increasing all the time, and Star Trek is the latest to join the fold.
76 episodes of The Original Series are now available to watch on Joost, but as is the problem with so many shows on the service, it is only limited to users in America.
Whether episodes from other series, such as The Next Generation, and Voyager, are going to be added as well, is not yet known.
With JJ Abrams movie interpretation of the franchise due out at the end of this year, Star Trek could be just the show to turn Joost’s failing fortunes around.
