Here’s an idea if you want to freak people out in a big, bad way: build human-shaped, remote-controlled planes that look like humans and fly them above the New York City skyline.
This works because the RC planes have been built to look incredibly lifelike from the ground. They have a floaty, soaring posture that you can imagine people would adopt if they could really fly.
If I saw this scene from the ground I would freak the hell out. I’d be taking photos and video galore. And then posting it on YouTube for all to see. Until I got told I’d been pranked, of course.
It turns out this was a stunt to promote the movie Chronicle, which features teenagers who develop special powers. But still, pretty awesome.
