Have you ever wanted to see what a typical level of Super Mario Bros. is like as seen through the fat little plumber’s own two eyes? Well now you can, sort of.
This video is probably the closest we’ll ever get until they give you the option in a full Mario game (I don’t think they have yet), and it makes for an intriguing watch.
And why may you ask is Mario holding a crowbar and fighting off hordes of nuclear mutated creatures? Because this was done using the map maker for Half-Life 2 of course.
Maybe they should consider combining the two games in the future. I’d certainly play it, but maybe that’s because I’m a sad git who likes mash-ups a bit too much.
