If you happened to be a both a Comcast Cable customer and a resident of Tucson, Arizona, chances are this above X-rated clip (although uncensored) was flashed on your TV set in the middle of the Super Bowl.
For Christ’s sake! Can we just have one Super Bowl without indecent exposure?
From this home video, one second you can see Kurt Warner running and all of a sudden the game is interrupted by 30 seconds of Club Jenna (a popular adult channel). For most of the 80,000 people that saw the interruption, I highly doubt this was their first x-rated encounter, however, let’s remember that children were watching.
As for anyone being punished for this incident, Comcast has made a public apology stating “We are mortified by last evening’s Super Bowl interruption and we apologize to our customers.” Aside for saying sorry and conducting an “investigation” Comcast has been lucky enough to avoid a hefty fine from the FCC.
Sure the FCC has no jurisdiction over cable networks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a group of parents banned together to form a huge lawsuit. This is America after all and we’re known for being sue-happy.
