Any last vestige of respect I had for Boris Johnson, former Mayor of London, current Tory MP, and consistent fool, disappeared today.
Why? Because Boris Johnson decided not to stand as a candidate for Conservative leader, and therefore the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
This wouldn’t normally bother me too much, but Boris has bottled it after leading the campaign to take the UK out of the European Union. Against the wishes of half the country.
He only launched that campaign to inch closer to No. 10 Downing Street, but when the time came to stand up and be counted, he bowed out. Like a common loser.
