The chances are you’ll have heard of Susan Boyle by now. Which is bizarre seeing as she’s a 47-year-old self-confessed virgin who lives in Scotland with her cat. Hardly the credentials for a world-renowned superstar it has to be said.
But when Susan Boyle walked out onto the stage of the Britain’s Got Talent auditions and began to sing, everyone stood up and took note. A star was born on a British reality television show – the same one that produced Paul Potts.
Boyle isn’t a newcomer to singing, it’s just that no-one has yet noticed her incredible talent. Except they have. Back in 1999 she was part of a charity album called The Millennium Celebration. She sang Cry Me A River and here is the audio in all its glory.
Boyle is quite a talent, and her story is made all the more enticing by the fact she looks nothing like a star and is really just an unassuming middle-aged woman. She really is the female equivalent of Paul Potts.
