Taylor Swift took the stand as part of the ongoing groping trial involving Colorado DJ David Mueller, E!News reports.
Attorney Gabriel MacFarland called the singer to the stand for questioning. Swift was sworn in and questioned about her meet-and-greet session with the defendant and his girlfriend Shannon Melcher. Swift said the three posed for a photo backstage in 2013 at the singer’s Denver show on her Red tour.
Mueller, who at the time was host of KYGO’s Ryno and Jackson morning show, was invited for a meet-and-greet as part of his show.
While posing for the photo, Swift alleges that Mueller grabbed her bottom.
“It was a definite grab. A very long grab,” Swift said.
When asked how long the grab lasted, Swift said, “I don’t think it would be wise to estimate time in court, but I know it was long enough for me to be completely sure that it was intentional.”
MacFarland pushed the issue further, asking Swift if Mueller grabbed her “bare bottom.”
“He stayed latched onto my bare ass cheek,” Swift clarified. “I felt him grab onto my ass cheek underneath my skirt.”
The singer said she was shocked by the incident and that she “got as far away from him” as possible.
Swift said the moment she was alone, away from fans, she reported the incident. She recalled telling her assistant that Mueller grabbed her bottom.
MacFarland continued with questioning and turned his focus to Swift’s bodyguard Greg Dent. When asked why Dent did nothing about the incident, Swift said there was no time for Dent to act.
“There was a wall behind me,” she said, and added that Mueller’s act was “devious and sneaky.”
“What Mr. Mueller did was, like I said, very intentional and the location was very intentional and it happened very quickly and I wasn’t going to blame Greg Dent for something Mr. Mueller did,” Swift said.
