A clip of a teacher from Houston, Texas beating a 13-year old student aired on Good Morning America today and has sparked a lot of controversy. Apparently the boy was caught laughing at a video of a handicapped girl dancing and the the teacher snapped.
While some applaud the woman for her actions, I happen to be disgusted. Watch at your own risk.
As it turns out, Sheri Davis (the teacher) already had a pending arrest warrant for slashing a car’s tires. It’s been a week since the incident and Isaiah’s (the boy) mother has since filed a lawsuit.
As a firm believer that violence solves nothing, I sincerely hope that this teacher never sets foot in a school again.
