Once upon a time Mel Gibson was a handsome leading man, sending hearts racing in films like Mad Max and Lethal Weapon. But an anti-Semitic rant and a few nasty recorded conversations with an ex-wife later, Mel’s name is mud.
But he’s looking to turn it all around with his quirky new film, The Beaver.
Call me optimistic, but from the trailer it looks like this movie might have what it takes. It’s different to anything we’ve seen before, it’s got Jodie Foster, and it seems Mel might be back to his acting best.
But will anyone be willing to part with their cash to support Mr. Gibson?
We’ll find out when The Beaver opens in cinema early next year.
