The Big Year has a cast to die for – Steve Martin, Owen Wilson, and Jack Black – three of the best comedy actors out there. But a great cast doesn’t always translate into a great film.
We saw the trailer in September, and now The Big Year reviews have started showing up. This particular one is by Chris Stuckmann, who delivers an honest assessment of the movie.
He rates it as average. Not great, not bad, not overly funny but with funny moments. And underlying it all are good messages about life. Which is standard fayre for a cold winter’s evening.
The good thing about movie reviews is that you can choose to ignore them completely. I like the look of The Big Year so will definitely check it out. I may wait until it arrives on DVD though.
