Much like ‘Sex & The City,’ the new web series The Broadroom caters to a niche audience. Unfortunately, most online users simply can’t relate to the “struggles” of the women in the show.
Unless, of course, you’re an unhappy boardroom executive.
Whiny, pretentious, spoiled, undersexed- these are all the main characteristics of the characters in The Broadroom. Rather than have the plot focus on challenges in the workplace or drama, the majority of the show involves the women talking to each other (and themselves) about their pet peeves and problems with men.
Talented actresses like Jennifer Esposito (Crash) and Talia Balsam (The Wackness) aren’t to blame in this production, only the writers. The idea that working women are this uptight is just disgusting. On the upside, at least each episode isn’t an 8-minute long Maybelline commercial.
Episode 2
Here we have the latest episode of The Broadroom. I could barely manage to stomach it myself, but feel free to check out more of the show (and nifty makeup tips) on the official website.
