Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds look to breathe some new life into the old body-swap comedy genre with The Change-Up.
The clichéd plot sees Reynolds playing a ladies man and Bateman an exhausted family guy. After a night of drinking the two friends express their desire to switch lives, and the universe gives them the chance.
There’s nothing new here really, but pairing of Reynolds and Bateman, not to mention a script by the writers of The Hangover has potential.
We’ll find out whether the world really needed another body-swap film when The Change-Up hits cinema screens on August 5.
