This year’s Academy Awards ceremony would have been a fairly pedestrian and predictable affair if not for Sacha Baron Cohen. The madcap Brit, dressing as his new alter ego General Aladeen from The Dictator, caused havoc on the red carpet.
As the Academy is a bit precious about its footage, we’ll have to make do with the still images and commentary from Clevver News. They tell us of one of the evening’s highlights, the moment when Aladeen spilled the ashes of his pal, the late Kim Jong Il, all over TV personality Ryan Seacrest.
The Academy might be wringing their hands over it, but I think this is just what this year’s boring ceremony needed!
