Get Lucky by Daft Punk is one hell of a song. It’s extremely catchy, and has a timeless quality to it that means it’ll still be played on the radio in several decades’ time.
But wait. It isn’t actually a new song. It’s been around since the 1920s, and has evolved over time. What’s more, it will continue to evolve until 2020 at the least.
OK, so I may have been making that up. Instead this video shows an evolving cover version of Get Lucky, with the song being reimagined every 10 years.
My personal favorite is the version from 1980, but then that’s my era. I just hope music doesn’t evolve in the way this video suggests it will from now on.
