“The Goon” Animated Zombie Trailer Debuts at Comic Con Video

Nerds flock to Comic Con in San Diego each year to get a jump on the next big things in pop culture. But it’s rare to see the festival screening a trailer for a film that hasn’t even been made yet. That makes this preview of The Goon even more special.

Apparently this clip was created to raise funds to make the movie, and generate a bit of hype along the way. It’s certainly got all the makings of a hit in my book.

David Fincher is in the producer’s chair, and Paul Giamatti’s already lending his voice to the project. The Goon is also an adaptation of an Eric Powell comic book, and since Hollywood rarely has original ideas these days that also ticks a box.

I like the quirk factor of this one, and hope we see a feature film eventuate!
