Who can resist listening to The Hoff singing a medley of Christmas carols? OK, so I could if I was sober, but it’s Christmas so I’m definitely not. Which makes this just about the best video of all time.
This video sees the group of singers and beat-boxers who featured in the recent T-Mobile ‘Welcome Back’ ad gatecrash David Hasslehoff’s dressing room in order to sing a bunch of Christmas carols.
The Hoff can’t really sing, as everyone apart from former East Germans must agree, but it kind of works – he actually sounds quite good – with the help of his accomplices. Viral advertising can work, sometimes.
And yes, when I sober up later tonight or tomorrow morning I’ll probably wonder why I ever thought this video was good. But at the moment, it’s pure and utter genius. And I don’t even care that it’s advertising something.
