The Human Centipede II has been banned from release in the U.K. after the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) deemed it too sick and too depraved even for adults over the age of 18 to watch.
Judging by the video, which shows director Tom Six teasing the sequel, this was exactly what was planned. Well, not the banning perhaps, but certainly the controversy.
The Human Centipede was sick enough, showing a depraved experiment in which three victims are sewn together so that their digestive systems become one. With all the obvious consequences that suggests.
The Human Centipede II is apparently worse because it deals with the sexual gratification the protagonist experiences as a result of his messing with nature.
I’m against censorship of this kind, but I can’t say I particularly wanted to see The Human Centipede II in the first place. There is only so much my stomach can cope with.
